Hosted by the Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City. Reasons:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>The rising income inequality;<\/li><li>The aging of the population;<\/li><li>Shifting patterns in global savings;<\/li><li>Changes in how businesses invest.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The study uses the recently released Survey of Consumer Finances Plus (SCF+) data set [Kuhn, Schularick and Steins (2020)] to investigate two of the most prominent explanations for the decline in *r in the United States.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ziehen Sie Deutsch vor? Die Argumentation: Die Alterung der Bev\u00f6lkerung in den Industriel\u00e4ndern \u2013 im Fokus stehen die Babyboomer \u2013 f\u00fchrt zu h\u00f6herem Sparen.
